    TIPS FOR A HEALTHY SUMMER

    While enjoying your summer and lying on the beach or at a swimming pool, you do not have to worry about your health. Here are some easy tips on how to improve your summer health. They are super easy to follow and to enjoy like reading the online sportsbook.

    BAREFOOT RUNNING

    In the swimming pool and at the beach, running barefoot is part of the routine for many people. And in general, we should leave our shoes in the closet more often – because it’s extremely healthy.

    If you start running barefoot more, you’re not just making your feet happy. Barefoot running can correct deformities that are largely responsible for back pain. Therefore, simply do without socks and shoes at home. Foot deformities such as bent, splayed or flat feet can also be the result of incorrect footwear. When walking barefoot, we also stimulate the foot reflex zones, which are connected to various organs and are supposed to influence them.

    Barefoot walking is the most natural way of locomotion and you should try it, because it:

    • is a free foot reflexology massage,
    • exercises the atrophied foot muscles,
    • puts you in contact with nature,
    • helps with cold feet by stimulating blood circulation,
    • relieves the back.

    By the way, you don’t get cystitis from walking barefoot, as it is caused by viruses or bacteria. Only cold can additionally weaken an already stressed immune system, which is just fighting off a swelling infection.

    OUR TIPS

    If you haven’t walked barefoot in a while, start slowly. If you don’t already do it, then stay at home without shoes. After a while you can also leave the socks out. Not only does this save laundry, but your feet finally get to do what they’re good at: grope!

    • Too much barefoot walking can cause a burning sensation on the soles of your feet at first, because the callus has not yet formed properly. You’ll also feel a slight soreness as you use new muscles. Listen to your body and don’t overload it.
    • The best time to start barefoot running is in the morning on a dewy meadow. The ideal time is just after sunrise.
    • Try to walk relaxed and enjoy every step. The fear of stepping on sharp stones will soon pass: after a few times you won’t notice them anymore.
    • Freshly mowed stubble fields, on the other hand, are not a good surface to walk on. In fact, it can be very painful.
    • If you want to run barefoot, start slowly because of the higher impact. You will learn a better running technique in the process.
    • There are people who run barefoot all year round. As a rule of thumb for beginners: run barefoot only in the months without “r” – that is, from May to August.

    COMPROMISE

    If you don’t want to run completely barefoot to protect your feet from injury, then barefoot shoes are right for you. They are healthier than conventional shoes and give you a natural walking feeling thanks to the thin and flexible soles.

    HEALTHY OR UNHYGIENIC

    In fact, however, there is scientific evidence that sleeping naked has some benefits.

    THE BENEFITS

    Whether your sleep quality improves when you sleep naked depends on external conditions. Generally, our body temperature drops when we get tired. This effect continues even during sleep. This is due to the so-called “sleep hormone” melatonin, which our body secretes at the beginning of the night.

    Sleeping naked is also said to have a positive effect on our mental well-being and romantic relationships. When you sleep naked next to your partner and have physical contact, your body releases the hormone oxytocin. This can help us feel less anxious and stressed. In addition, the hormone may also make couples feel more emotionally connected, as it influences bonding behavior.

    If you want to try sleeping naked, you should follow some tips:

    • If it is possible, pay attention to the right ambient temperature. This is between 18 and 21 degrees Celsius.
    • Especially on colder days, make sure your comforter is warm enough. You may also want to put an extra blanket next to your bed in case you get cold at night.
    • To minimize the amount of sweat you secrete at night, you can take a short shower in the evening.
    • Of course, if you have to wash more sheets by sleeping naked, your water and energy consumption will also increase due to more frequent washing. Therefore, make sure you have several sets of sheets and bedding. That way, you can collect dirty sheets and clean them in one big wash instead of running the washing machine for just one or two sheets.     If you are uncomfortable sleeping completely naked at the beginning, you can leave out the pajama pants or sleep in your underwear. This way you will slowly get used to the feeling.

    However, do not force yourself to do anything! You realize even after a few tries that you just prefer to sleep in your pajamas or t-shirt? Then listen to your feelings. For a good night’s sleep, it’s important that you feel comfortable.
