Shriram Lagoo’s Life
Shriram Lagoo was born on 16 November 1933 in Maharashtra, India. He completed his primary and secondary education in Pune. He went on to receive a degree in medicine from the Government Medical College in Nagpur. After graduating, he worked as a doctor for a few years before pursuing his passion for acting.
He was married to Shobha Lagoo and the couple had two children. He was an active theatre actor and was associated with several popular theatre groups. He was also a prominent figure in the Marathi film industry.
Shriram Lagoo’s Career
Shriram Lagoo started his career as a theatre actor in the 1950s. He was associated with some of the most famous theatre groups in India, including the Indian People’s Theatre Association (IPTA) and the Theatre Academy. He was an active participant in the Indian theatre movement of the 1950s and 1960s.
He made his debut in the Marathi film industry with the movie ‘Sinhasan’ in 1979. He went on to act in several other Marathi films, including ‘Pinjra’, ‘Himalayachi Saoli’, ‘Zunj’, ‘Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi’ and ‘Tula Shikvin Changlach Dhada’.
He was also an active actor in the Hindi film industry. He was seen in several popular Hindi films such as ‘Gharonda’, ‘Kalaakaar’, ‘Chaalbaaz’, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!’, ‘Virasat’, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ and ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’.
