Nagarjuna was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu on 29th August 1959. He is the second son of the legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao and his wife Annapurna Akkineni. He has two brothers, Sumanth and Venkat, and a sister, Naga Susheela. He completed his schooling at Hyderabad Public School and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Little Flower Junior College, Hyderabad.
Nagarjuna began his acting career with the Telugu film ‘Vikram’ in 1986 and since then has starred in more than ninety films in several languages.
