Memorandum of Life Orientation Grade 12 Project (2021)

The Life Orientation Grade 12 project is an important part of the South African school curriculum. It allows learners to explore their own identities and to develop an understanding of the world around them. This year, the project has been adapted to meet the challenges of the pandemic and provides learners with the opportunity to engage in meaningful activities and projects that will help them to grow and develop.

Overview of 2021 Life Orientation Grade 12 Project

The 2021 Life Orientation Grade 12 project is a unique opportunity for learners to explore their own identity and to gain an understanding of the world around them. The project focuses on developing life skills, such as problem-solving, communication, and collaboration. It also encourages learners to think critically and explore their own values and beliefs.

The project consists of a range of activities and tasks that are designed to help learners understand themselves, their peers, and the world around them. These activities can be completed either in the classroom or online, depending on the individual circumstances.

Preparing for the 2021 Life Orientation Grade 12 Project

In order to successfully complete the 2021 Life Orientation Grade 12 project, learners should be prepared to engage in meaningful activities and projects. Preparation should include researching the topics of the project, reading relevant materials, and discussing the topics with peers and teachers.

In addition, learners should be prepared to participate in group activities and discussions. This will help them to develop strong interpersonal skills, such as communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.

Finally, learners should also be prepared to reflect on their own experiences and values. This will help them to gain a better understanding of themselves and their peers, and to become more aware of their own beliefs and values.

The 2021 Life Orientation Grade 12 project provides learners with the opportunity to explore their own identity and to develop an understanding of the world around them. By preparing for the project and engaging in meaningful activities and projects, learners can gain valuable life skills, such as problem-solving, communication, and collaboration. This will help them to grow and develop both personally and professionally.

The Grade 12 Life Orientation (LO) students at [INSERT SCHOOL] have been challenged to complete a comprehensive project integrating the skills acquired through their LO course. This project will be the final component of their grade and the memorandum outlines the expectations for the project.

For the duration of the project, the students will be working in teams of two to three and will be expected to participate in all team activities. Each student must select one project topic from the following provided by the school: Education and Professional Growth, Building Positive Relationships with Others, Community Involvement and Environmental Stewardship, or Mental and Physical Wellbeing.

The project work should be well-researched and provide suitable results. LO students will be given six weeks to research and apply appropriate problem-solving strategies. Once the research is completed, teams will be permitted to present their results to the LO teacher and class if necessary. The presentation should be clear, logical and organized with visual/audio/kinesthetic media and/or other strategies. An assessment will be conducted at the end of the project to measure the learning outcomes of the LO course.

The LO project is meant to provide the Grade 12 students with an opportunity to put the skills and knowledge they have acquired this academic year into practice. Team-based learning has been selected as the integrated approach for this project as it provides each student with the opportunity to work with their peers collaboratively. It is students’ responsibility to adhere to the core team expectations of participation, cooperation, respect, commitment and collaboration.

The completed project must be submitted digitally and in hard copy, in the specified format provided by the LO teacher by the due date. Participation and engagement in the project, and successful completion of the project will account for a large portion of the student’s semester grade.

We are confident that with proper guidance and support, each student will be successful in completing their project and gaining the essential skills required to be successful in their future endeavors.

Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.
